In the six months since Prime Minister Harper and President Obama launched the Beyond the Border Action Plan, the United States and Canada have been working very closely and seriously together to create a new framework for U.S.-Canada cooperation on security and economic issues. Part of that undertaking includes changes in the way we manage our common border. Tangible improvements that translate into increased efficiency; improved security; savings for companies; and less time at the border for individual travelers.
